We are offering a class that trains volunteers in our safe sanctuary policies. Everyone that works with children under the age of 18 needs to take this class. The class will be May 30th at 6:30 pm in room 112. This is especially important for anyone that is working at VBS.

Children’s Church will be at both the 9am and 11am services on May 19, and 26th.

It’s never too early to collect for Operation Christmas Child!  Our church will take donations with a different item each month. For the month of May, we will collect toys for boys, such as balls, hot wheel cars, legos, etc.  The donations will be used at the packing party in November. There is a collection basket located in the narthex. Any questions, please contact Katie Brown at 678-876-6670 or mkbrown864@gmail.com.

Cornerstone Kids will offer two summer camps this year for children ages 2 thru rising first grade. The cost for the camp is $100 per student per week. Campers will rotate through a variety of hands on learning activities and art activities as well as play-time and snack-time. Camp fees will be due at the time of registration. You may download the registration form from the website www.kids.cornerstoneumc.org or pick one up from the preschool office. Spaces are limited.  CKPK Summer Camp runs M-F, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, June 17-21 (Zoo) and July 22-26 (Fairy Tales).

AARP Drivers Class

If you took the AARP class in 2016, it is time to take it again. There will be a class on May 30th from 9:30-4:00.  We will have 30 minutes for lunch so be sure and bring your lunch. The cost for AARP members (bring your card) is $15 and $20 for non-members. Please have the correct change, checks are accepted. Check with your insurance company to make sure you will get credit for taking the class. Looking forward to seeing a large group. If you are interested, call Judy Burtz at 770-251-1290 or email her at nannyb@numail.org to get your name on the list. May 25th is the deadline to register.
