Once again this year we are supporting children and older folks that are in the DFACS system. On Sunday we will have a Christmas Tree set up in the Narthex with names and ages of people that need some help. For many of the children and older folks these are the only gifts they receive. Please take a tag off the tree, purchase some of the things listed and return it to the church with the tag attached, and unwrapped.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

The children and youth did an amazing job packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We are thankful for all the donations. A huge Thank you to Katie Brown for organizing the Packing Party.

We will not have Karpenter’s Kids on Wednesday, November 21st. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Drive Thru Nativity_Signups There are 540 identified roles/tasks in the Drive Thu Nativity. Of these, 91% of been volunteered for.  Of the remaining ~50, there are a few critical roles that we still need to fill:

12/6 12/7 12/8 12/9
Angels     2 4
Family 2      2
Joseph 2 1 1
Wisemen 2 2 1 2
Traffic 1 3 3 5

(For the family on Dec 6th and 9th, we need a father and at least 1 child).  If you are available for any of these roles, please sign up today.  In addition to these critical roles, we could use a few more young shepherds and some more help with Refreshments in the pavilion.  Remember – there are NO speaking parts in the cast and all necessary costuming is provided.

Posters/Save-the-Date Cards Posters in 2 sizes as well as business-card size Save-the-Date cards are available in the narthex.  Please pick up as much as you can use to help us promote the Drive Thru.

Cookies We are thrilled and honored to again this year have Royal Cup Coffee donate our coffee and hot chocolate. To go with these beverages, we need a LOT of cookies (for you true southerners that is a whole mess of them or a whole passel of them!). Please plan to bring your cookies the week of December 3rd.
